Star vs. the Lack of Breakfast Burritos (4/4)

By: TheDragonBoy

Summary

Over a decade after Mewni and Earth were cleaved and magic wiped from the multiverse, the next generation is living with the consequences. Mariposa Diaz and Meteora Butterfly were both only babies when it all happened. Are their lives better off now? Or are they hungry for something more?

“Come on, just focus!” Mariposa encouraged. “We can do this! I know we can!”

They’d been holding hands and squinting their eyes shut for the better part of an hour now. Alone, back out in the abandoned wilds, with only their rapidly shrinking stomachs for company. They’d tried incantations, they’d tried silence, they’d tried dances- which were NOT easy with those huge bellies- they’d even tried not trying. But-

“Ugh! Why isn’t this working!?” Meteora yelled. She felt her sister squeeze her hand tighter in an attempt at comfort.

“…Are you sure we have enough magic to do it?” Mariposa asked.

“I’m sure, I can feel it! We have enough.”

“I still can’t do anything…”

“I could only cast spells again when I combined whatever magic I had left with what I got from Maizy. Star and Marco didn’t have enough to cast by themselves either, and you only got Star’s, so it makes sense you wouldn’t be able to yet either.”

“And Marco really had some magic left in him too? He wasn’t even a princess.”

“No question. I felt it when I absorbed him. All those stories he told you were true. Using the wand, getting implanted with that magic monster arm, getting impaled by the dark millhorse, I felt it all.”

“Then… then is it just not close enough? Maybe I should have let you have Star too after all.”

“Ugh, no, it- *sigh* … Maybe, I don’t know. I just- I was sure this would work as long as we did it together…” Meteora kicked a rock, utterly bummed.

“…Oh well, guess you’ll just have to eat me too so you can get Star’s magic.

“Maripo-!” She was about to scold her sister for even suggesting such a thing, until she saw the teasing grin the other girl was wearing. She rolled her eyes and grunted in defeat. She’d been got. “Not funny,” the half-monster grumbled. “The whole reason we’re even doing this is so we can have a life together.”

Exactly, so let’s not worry about the magic so much, okay?”

“But… But I really wanted you to have it too this time… You deserve it too.”

“I know, we just have to-”

“…Mari?” She looked to the other teen who had abruptly stopped talking, face scrunching up. “Mari, what’s wrong?”

“I, um…” Mariposa put a hand to her mostly shrunken belly. “Something… doesn’t feel right. I… Grobb, I think I have to go.”

“Go? Oh- go- yeah sure, just, uh, go find a bush.”

“No, it, um- Oh no, it- Mora it doesn’t feel right. It feels- Mora, are you sure everything will come out okay?” She was sounding increasingly nervous, maybe even scared.

“Um, it should, yeah. I mean the rest of you didn’t seem to have any trouble with-”

“But I don’t have your monster-half, what if not all of me can- Oh Grobb oh Grobb.”

“Okay, okay, just calm down, girl.” Meteora took her sister’s hand and squeezed for reassurance. “Just- just come over here. That’s it. Now just, you know, get your skirt off and…”

Mariposa squatted down, but didn’t let go of her sister’s hand, so Mora squatted next to her, still holding firm. Keeping her eyes fixed only on Mari’s tense face, she waited.

“Urg…” *prrrt* … *plop* “Ooooh,” the frightened girl breathed with relief. Her poor belly gurgled and groaned as building pressures shifted.

Mora felt a squeeze on her hand as her sister clenched her bowels again, followed by another series of faint *plop*s as the strained half-human belly shrunk another centimeter.

“You okay?” Meteora asked.

“Y…Yeah… I… I don’t think it was actually bad after all, just… you know… not what I’m used to feeling.” Mariposa grew a shaky, semi-embarrassed sort of smile. Still, though, she held tight to her sister’s hand.

“Good. Good. Cause, um, I think-”

*PHHRRRRRT*

That wasn’t me… Mariposa realized, glancing at her sister who was suddenly, utterly mortified. The expression looked completely out of place on such a confident half-monster face.

“…I, um, kinda have to go too,” she admitted, cheeks burning. She hadn’t even really noticed until she’d squatted down next to Mari. “I have, well, two of them in me, so… you mind if I…?”

Mariposa nodded awkwardly and looked away. She felt her sister shifting, undressing with her free hand, and then.

*frrrt* *plop* *plop*

“Ah, so much better,” Mora breathed. It didn’t seem nearly as uncomfortable for her as it did for Mariposa, maybe because her body was a bit more prepared for it biologically speaking, but still, she wasn’t sure how she hadn’t noticed all that pressure building up. Must have been the stress of the moment.

“Ugh! Mora, you stink!”

“And you think yours was smelling like roses? Blame Maizy! Or maybe that’s Marco by now.”

“Pff… You know, when we got here yesterday, Maizy tried to get me in trouble with Marco cause I wouldn’t watch her pee.”

“Hah, that brat. Well, don’t go changing your mind now,” Meteora remarked, their faces still pointed solidly away from each other.

They held each other’s hands there for a long few minutes, quipping every now and then against a backdrop of gurgles, groans, plops and the occasional burst of gas. But the longer they went, the more relaxed they grew- emotionally and physically. They were sisters after all, and these were the kinds of things you occasionally had to help each other with, right?

“I… phew… I think that’s the last of her,” Mariposa finally announced quietly. She relaxed her grip a bit. “You alright?”

“Yeah, yeah, I’m fine. I think I’ve still got a few minutes, though.” Meteora let go of the other girl’s hand, signaling she could leave.

“I’m gonna try and find something to wipe with.”

“Sure, bring me something too, yeah?”

Mora heard her sis get up and walk off. She wiggled her butt and put a hand to her belly to try and gauge her progress. It’s true she wasn’t quite done yet- she had eaten two people after all- but one of them had been a pint-sized squirt, so she wasn’t actually too far behind. Honestly, there was a second, secret reason Meteora had been silently hoping for some privacy.

After another minute or so of solid work from her bowels, she finally felt the long stream of solids coming to an end. With a few last clenches, she felt her rear empty its last, and she gave another sigh of relief.

She didn’t bask in it though- and not just because of the smell. After just a few seconds, she stood herself up and turned around. Mari had probably made it a point not to look at the mess they’d made. It was pretty gross after all, not to mention her sister had still been squatting over it at the time. But Mora had a bit of a thicker skin.

She took a moment to gaze down at their handiwork. One, huge, twin-peaked pile of steaming nothing. All that remained of the two ‘great heroes’ and their ‘perfect’ little daughter. Star, Maizy, and…

Marco…

Meteora widened her stance a touch and reached a hand down to her crotch. She bowed her legs a bit, and…

…*pssssssssssssh*

The off-yellow liquid pattered down amidst the remains of their meals, and the half-monster teen gave a small, wicked, vengeful grin.

“Goodbye, ‘Princess Marco Turdina’,” she declared quietly. “You’ve finally lived up to your name.”

She squeezed her bladder until she’d wrung out every last drop, every drop he deserved. And then finally turned up her nose and pulled up her skirt. After all, those has-beens stunk something awful, and she no longer had to smell or see any trace of them ever ag-

Wait a sec, what… what’s THAT!?

At first she’d thought it had just been some of her own piss, but it wasn’t just glinting and yellow, it was golden and glowing. Glowing brighter! It brightened and spread, gradually encompassing the entire mess.

“Hey Mora, I found some actual toilet paper in one of the abandoned- WHAT THE HECK?” Mariposa ran back over as she noticed the gleaming light. “What’s going on!?”

“I don’t know! I just finished and then this started happening!”

The mass of ex-person remains quickly disappeared from view, replaced with a light so bright that you almost couldn’t look at it. They squinted through the glare, and saw something changing, shifting, forms rearranging their contours, separating and rejoining, cleaving, flowing.

Then, all at once, the light faded out to a dim glow. The grass and dirt that had once been defiled was now pristine, and floating above the spot where they had just been squatting, were two very distinctly shaped objects.

“No… way… No way!” Mariposa squealed.

“You’re joking, right?” Meteora asked the universe.

“Mora, are those!?”

“Yeah… looks like it!”

“Oh my goodness- OH MY GOODNESS! GROBB! WANDS!” An utterly ecstatic Mariposa rushed forward and grabbed the closest floating wand by the hilt. It sparkled and flashed and formed itself into what could only be described as a design just her style.

Still fairly in shock, Meteora reached out and grabbed the second. It too sparkled and flashed and became uniquely hers. She couldn’t believe it. After all these years, she was finally holding a magic wand. She turned it over in her hands, marveling at it.

“B-but- TWO of them!? Mora, did you know there’d be TWO!?”

“N-no! I thought we’d be lucky to get one at all! Maybe since the magic came from both of us, it…” She trailed off. Not like the theory would matter anymore, not when they were holding the results.

“Does this mean the magic is back!? We did it!?”

Meteora held her wand at arm’s length and silently released an enormous blast of green energy out into the trees. Her eyes widened and her smile grew.

“Yeah… YEAH! WE DID IT. BORK WE DID IT! WE brought back the magic!”

They ran up to each other and shared a high pitched cheer! Bouncing up and down with excitement.

“But- but why didn’t it work until now!?”

“You just had to let nature take its full course,” came an unexpected reply.

The sisters both flinched and whipped around, pointing their newly obtained wands in the direction of this new, unknown voice.

…Though, actually, it sounded oddly… familiar somehow…

Before them, floating in midair, was a small, dark-blue, humanoid creature, with a white beard and a gem stuck prominently to his forehead.

“Who are you!?” Mariposa demanded. He just looked at the wand being aimed his way.

“I, um, wouldn’t be touching those just yet if I were you.”

“…Why?” she followed up, squinting suspiciously.

“Well, because a couple seconds ago, they were your, you know…” he pointed to the now empty bit of grass.

Mari’s eyes widened.

“EW! EWEWEWEWEW!” She dropped the wand and ran frantically in search of something clean. By contrast, Meteora simply took a step closer and squinted.

“…Glossaryck?”

“Would you look at that. You’ve grown up quite a bit- again,” the little magic man smiled.

“Wow, if you’re back, I guess we really did restore the magic, huh.”

The cryptic creature shrugged.

She leaned in closer and raised an eyebrow at him.

…*nomf*!

*gulp*

“Hey, Mora! There’s a stream over here, come bring the wands so we can clean them!” Mariposa called from the distance.

Meteora felt the lump slip down her throat, then bent over to pick up her sister’s wand.

“Much easier to move around if I just eat things your size,” she remarked, before following the other teen’s path down to the water. She handed Mari her wand back and went to washing her own.

“Wait, where’d that creepy blue guy go?” Mariposa asked, realizing she’d just completely forgotten his random appearance.

*buurp*

“Pfff, Mora!” Mari giggled. “…Wait, MORA! You ate him!? We didn’t even know who he was! A-and you said you weren’t going to make a habit of eating people!”

“That was just Glossaryck. He’s not a ‘person’ he’s some kind of magical incarnated being or something, he’ll be fine. …Probably… Plus I remember his head tasting really good.”

Suddenly, a voice spoke up from the monster girl’s stomach, loud and clear for all to hear.

“I know this is quite literally a shitty ending for me. But somehow it still feels like an improvement…”
